Manning Valley Anglican College has experienced significant growth since commencing in 2003 as a Kindergarten to Year 6 School. The school now provides education for all Years of schooling with an initial HSC cohort of 5 students.
The school was observed to provide a quality education with a dedicated and professional teaching staff mindful of the need for a structured and coordinated approach to curriculum planning. A strength of the curriculum is the focus on the performing arts, particularly music, and sporting activities. The school’s integrated use of technology across the school enriches the learning program.
In the areas of Primary education and courses for the Higher School Certificate, the curriculum materials were clear, comprehensive and reflective of attention to detail. The school’s commitment to providing a quality education with opportunities for all to learn was evident.

Protecting Kids On-Line
The Australian Bankers’ Association (ABA) and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) have worked together to produce a fact sheet for parents about how to encourage their children to stay safe online and protect their identity from criminals.
The fact sheet, ‘Helping your kids protect their identity online’, outlines some of the online threats and provides practical safety tips so you can talk to your children about online safety.
This security information is something that every parent can tell their children and is no different to teaching children to buckle-up in the car or why they should be careful of approaches from strangers.
The fact sheet is available on the following websites:
- Australian Bankers’ Association: www.bankers.asn.au
- Australian Federal Police: www.afp.gov.au
